Theater House of Black, in cooperation with The Philippine Mental Health Association and Power Mac Center Spotlight presents “#14 LEANDRO ROAD”. It is a Filipino adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Fall Of The House Of Usher” by CK Bautista & Jay Crisostomo IV.
Mosang portrayed her role as Pilar excellently because of her great acting. Her aggressive attack on the role was very believable. My favorite scene of her role was when she was being possessed after Donya Victorina (Peewee O’hara) cursed her.
Ahlyx Leyva as Anna was quite good for a first timer in a big production. I liked how she portrayed her role as a girl with split personality disorder. It was quite hard role for a young age but she nailed it.
Gold Villar as Edna was commendable on her portrayal. At first, she was a very conservative but while she was exploring the problems of the siblings she was getting paranoid and confused with what is happening. She is a great actor especially some of the sudden changes in her emotional self.
The set design was very nice. They had full set-up of a very classic house of Laperal in Baguio. The furniture used were very appropriate with the story and how the cast were having their conversation.
The death of Anna was sudden even though her family expected of her death.
After the death of Anna, Edna was supposed to go back to her life but then…
May Bayot was also a good addition to the characters because she also did great in her acting.
A sudden twist happened in the family and a very cool earthquake effect happened.
Anna also came back to life and did a very unexpected twist to the story, she killed her sister.
