Lifestyle of Sharing by Boardwalk

Just as it wanted to be known as a direct selling brand, Boardwalk still manages to create an awareness of sharing. Boardwalk presented to the media, guest and partners its commitment to share. The even happened at the The Green Sun Hotel this Dec. 4, 2015

In pursuit of its vision to help reduce poverty through social entrepreneurship, Boardwalk today launches Share, a new fashion and lifestyle brand that does as good as it looks.

As it enters its 25th year in the fashion and lifestyle industry, Boardwalk created Share, a fashion and lifestyle sub-brand with a social development platform. Riding on Boardwalk’s highly successful distributive enterprise philosophy that has created a generation of entrepreneurs, the new Share brand helps men and women from economically-challenged communities to gain a stable source of income.

Share enables consumers with a social conscience to enjoy fashionable items while contributing 25 per cent of what they pay to a business starter program developed by Share Foundation in partnership with Boardwalk Charity Foundation Incorporated. The program is designed to provide training and capital to economically-challenged Filipinos who hope to have a chance to do business.

To officially launch the brand today, Share gathers two social entrepreneurship thought leaders to delve into the burning issues of poverty and to share their insights on how to empower the youth so that they can take a  bigger and more active role in addressing socioeconomic issues.

Share brand manager Anil Ratanchandani emphasizes that the Share team aims to bring the brand to its audience in a happy and positive way, as reflected by Share’s fun, relaxed and colourful design aesthetic.

In support of the company’s vision, Boardwalk’s brightest celebrity endorsers Alden Richards, Janine Gutierrez, and Matteo Guidicelli share their stories on how the simple act of purchasing a shirt can make a difference in people’s lives. They call on everyone to join them as they begin this journey, and do their share to help people lead better, more fulfilling lives.

The launch also features two videos that capture Share’s vision. The first is a social experiment between the privileged and the underprivileged, while the second highlights the components that form the Share Ecosystem – the Sharepreneur, Sharepartner, Sharementor, Sharecreator, and Sharesponsor.

Anil also notes that the new line’s name underscores its bigger goal to promote inclusive growth. “We believe there are so many simple ways to do your share in bringing about inclusive progress in the Philippines — you can do that with the simple act of sharing,” says Anil, “so it feels great to share!”
