30 beautiful and wellness advocates Filipinas are vying for the much-coveted title of Miss Bikini Philippines 2016. In a press launch and pre-pageant held recently at Diamond Hotel Manila, the candidates were judges in swimwear and evening gown, as well as the best in creative pose. The event was hosted by Christian “Slyde” Ardiente and Issa Litton, who by the way are both so cool and experts in the field of hosting.
The Diamond Hotel Manila’s stage heat up when the 30 candidates flaunt their lean bodies in pink swimsuits, I admire how each of the candidates showed poise and strength. It’s not a joke to stand in a room full of people, especially when you are only clad in a two-piece bikini. The candidates showcases the gowns made by five (5) Filipino Fashion designers during the evening gown competition. At the Creative Posing portion, we got to see who among all the aspirants has the talent to show off the most toned body and projected the best pose.
From hundreds of aspirants, the candidate list was rigorously screened to 30. Representing the best of the best, the candidates are vying for over 2 million worth of cash and prizes alongside the title and the chance to serve our country as the Philippine ambassador for slimming, health, fitness, and beauty and represent the country in international pageants.
The 30 finalists are Casey Austria, Zyralyn Gabuya, Clarise Perez, Apple Ferrer, Michko Magno, Venus Johnson, Regine Anilo, Crystal Saringo, Joanna Alajar, Trixie Ong, Marie Cajayon, Solaire Ralos, Grace Castillo, Geri Camargo, Angelica Nilo, Gregeli Pahilga, Hayah Hamoc, Japril Makilig, Elle Hollman, Diana Dela Peña, Cyrill Ybanyez, Rjfajda Babudin, Jankka Nicolas, Christine Opiaza, Ivy Tapic, Karina Dizon, Maribel Aga, Menachen de Asis, Antonette de Peralta and Dawn Dogma.
All of the 30 candidates underwent a rigorous regimen, housed together and strictly supervised by certified Physical Therapists, Licensed Nutritionists and Dieticians of Slimmers World. From their fitness routines on to their meal plans and skin regimens, Slimmers World will make sure the candidates take to the stage at their peak form, their bikini body best. Invited media elbowed each other just to get the best shot. It is generally orderly except when I got hit on the head by a photographer when he carelessly run to the side of the stage where I was seated.
