MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya teen stars Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad have proven the magic of their love team as the pilot episode of their first primetime drama series in ABS-CBN “Bagito” debuted strong in national TV ratings.
Based on data from Kantar Media on Monday (November 17), the pilot episode of Nash and Alexa’s drama series scored a national TV rating of 27.2%, or more than double of its rival program in GMA “Coffee Prince” (11.3%).
“Bagito” also conquered social networking sites such as Twitter where the show’s official hashtag #Bagito1stCrush became a worldwide trending topic. One of its lead stars Ella Cruz, meanwhile, became a nationwide trending topic.
According to Nash, he believes that “Bagito” will play a significant role in helping the youth to make better choices and decisions.
“Bagito was created to teach and help kids and their parents become aware of what is really happening among the youth nowadays,” said Nash who plays the character of Drew in the series.
“Viewers should watch Drew’s journey because families, especially teenagers like us, will learn and realize the consequences that we have to face when we make serious mistakes,” said Alexa.
“Bagito” is under the production of Dreamscape Entertainment Television, the group that created top-rating TV masterpieces such as “Walang Hanggan,” “Ina Kapatid Anak,” “Juan dela Cruz,” and “Ikaw Lamang.”
