MANILA, Philippines – The Association of Filipino Forestry Students – UPLB, Inc., a duly recognized academic-environmental organization of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, a registered youth organization in the National Youth Commission, Office of the President of the Philippines and a member of International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) annually conducts activities that aim to contribute to the sustainability of the environment in the form of tree planting and monitoring, educational programs, outreach and the like.

For the month of January 2017, AFFS-UPLB will be holding the PAGAHOM 2017: An Environmental Conference with a theme, “Green minds think alike”.

Pagahom 2017 will cover three different topics: Soils, Indigenous People, and National Disaster Risk Reduction Management: Climate Change.
