PhysiOlympics 2017: Boosting aPTitude of Victors is the second intercollegiate friendly games organized by the Association of Philippine Physical Therapy Students (APPTS) which will include Men’s Basketball, Mixed Volleyball, and Philippine Games in the sportsfest.

The Association of Philippine Physical Therapy Students (APPTS) will be holding its second multi-sport event entitled PhysiOlympics 2017: Boosting aPTitude of Victors this coming February 25 and 26, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima University- Quezon City Campus Athletic Center. This tournament is open for all physical therapy students throughout the Philippines. This event is a great avenue for physical therapy students around the country to meet their colleagues and showcase their skills when it comes to sports.

One of the main objective of the sportsfest is to promote holistic development of the members of the association through recognizing their non-academic skills and talents. This event will not only promote wellness and physical therapy among its members, but also promote sportsmanship and camaraderie through a healthy competition.

20 member schools from all over the country are expected to join the tournament. Some of those who have confirmed their participation are the following schools: St. Paul University- Iloilo, Our Lady of Fatima University-Antipolo, Quezon City & Valenzuela Campuses, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, La Consolacion University Philippines, University of Perpetual Help- Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University, Far Eastern University- Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite & Manila, University of Batangas, DMMC- Institute of Health Sciences, Angeles University Foundation, University of the East- Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, St. Dominic College of Asia, University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines Manila, Arellano University, St. Anne College of Lucena Inc., Wesleyan University of the Philippines.

The Association of Philippine Physical Therapy Students is the only recognized organization of Physical Therapy students in the country convened by the Philippine Physical Therapy Association (PPTA) as its special project arm and part of its responsibilities as an association is to spearhead projects that would gather member schools and their students to discuss about APPTS, its history, vision, mission, and present to them the year-round calendar of activities that members should watch out for.

The organization was established as a response to the growing need for the active participation of physical therapy students in their advocacy of creating a wider network, promoting the profession and engaging in a healthy lifestyle.
