Tia Pusit, who was battling kidney failure and aortic aneurysm, had been confined at the Heart Center in Quezon City since April of this year.
Early September, Tia Pusit's children were trying to raise money to finance two very expensive operations: the placement of a stent draft worth P450,000 and a double bypass heart surgery, a hybrid procedure for her aortic aneurysm amounting to P400,000.
In addition, Tia Pusit's close friend and colleague Inday Garutay organized a concert, scheduled for October 5.
Inday Garutay, whose real name is Christopher Borja, told ABS-CBN News that the show will still push through. The proceeds will be used to support Tia Pusit's funeral.
According to Nova Villa, the Startalk comedienne had to undergo dialysis every other day.
