What’s the Latest With Grab for Mom’s


Being a full time mom is no piece of cake. Most say that it is one of the most challenging task that deserves love, understanding and respect.
Mom’s not only care for their families but they also have a say in the molding of the children of the future.

In recognition of the importance of the role of wives in achieving success for the community, GRAB Taxi’s  “Misiskolar” campaign was born. And what is this all about?

GRAB Misiskolar is an initiative with the goal of empowering and educating the drivers’ wives to be wiser about handling their husband’s hard-earned income and enabling them to start their own mini-gosyo.

Recently in August in Mega Tent Libis, Misiskolars from Metro Manila became part of a full-day entrepreneurial program which included finance management and family planning talks from as well as different livelihood workshops such as no-bake cake making, perfume-making, direct selling, starting up your own business, and getting the needed start-up capital.

As an extension of the campaign and with the help of partners – Unionbank, Lendr, Avon, Sunlife, Angat Pilipinas, and Generika Drugstore also joined in. 

I personally find this very interesting for all the mother's out there who's husband's are GRAB cab drivers. In this hard up times, a family has to have other ways and means to be able to make ends meet and sustain daily and maintenance tasks especially when there are children around.

One thing also tough to manage is finances and employment earnings. With the help of "Misiskolar" the families of our cab drivers will now have a better and wiser management of their incomes and resorting to come up with thought of activities and funds-generating projects that will help augment the main livelihood source of sustenance to lessen the burden and worry of a cash-strapped situation. 

Furthermore, this remarkable activity aims to give the wives the chance to start earning by putting up a business. With the help of digital partners and mommy bloggers, the program aims to reach out to more wives and inspire them to be more madiskarte about the family finances – so they can become wais sa pamilya and wais sa pera.

The Grab Misiskolar program will also be launched in Cebu, targeting 400 wives. A round of applause for this one!
