On it’s seventh year, the 7-Eleven Bike Trail 2024 was an event not to be missed by biking enthusiasts!
The highly anticipated bike trail race returned with another exhilarating event at Timberland Heights, San Mateo last February 18, 2024. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Philippine Seven Corporation, this year’s event was bigger and better, featuring the newly unveiled Timberland Mountain Bike Park (TMBP).
The Timberland Mountain Bike Park is a purpose-designed trail system nestled in the picturesque hills of San Mateo, Rizal, and is set to be a standout highlight since its opening last February 10. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced racer, TMBP’s trails offer an array of options.
“We are beyond thrilled to introduce Timberland Mountain Bike Park as the focal point of this year’s 7-Eleven Trail. It definitely added an exciting dimension to the event, providing an opportunity for participants to experience a whole new thrill of mountain biking,” said Jose Victor Paterno, President & CEO of Philippine Seven Corporation.
More than 1,000 cyclists, a combination of loyal 7-Eleven Trail racers and new participants, courageously embraced the challenging 40-km single-loop course that comprised a mix of road climbs, fire roads, and single tracks. To accommodate both professional and amateur participants, specific segments of the trail were strategically categorized into A-Line and B-Line.
The A-Line, tailored for skilled riders, offered a high-speed route featuring challenges like jumps, drops, sharp turns, and gaps. Meanwhile, the B-Line provided less technical, slower lanes, still incorporating twists and curves for an exhilarating experience. The trail’s goal was to instill a sense of accomplishment upon completing the demanding race, allowing participants to savor the unique terrain of Timberland Heights’ captivating natural and scenic setting.
On top of that, they conquered new heights at the TMBP. The Skills Zone was tailored for beginners and first-time participants, providing a gentle introduction to mountain biking. Point Break featured twisty, cross-country-style singletrack, while Enter The Dragon boasted fast ridgeline descents combined with challenging technical trail features. Trails were clearly graded according to difficulty levels, and an intuitive signage system ensured easy navigation for all participants.
The race winners were given awards and generous cash prizes from the event sponsors. The winners of the Overall Category for both Male and Female each got P25,000 for placing 1st, then P15,000 for the second placers, and P10,000 for the third. As for the Age Group Category, the 1st place received P7,000, 2nd place received P5,000, and the 3rd took home P3,000.

In addition to the thrilling trails, PSC also celebrated how its organization has been a cornerstone in the convenience store industry for four decades now, continuously evolving to meet the needs of its customers.
Since its inception in 2014, the 7-Eleven Trail Series has steadily gained popularity year after year. Through dynamic outdoor and athletic events like this, PSC remains dedicated to fostering a healthy lifestyle, cultivating a profound appreciation for the environment, and nurturing a strong sense of community among the diverse network of 7-Eleven patrons.
7-Eleven Trail marked a triumphant comeback last year at the esteemed biking capital of the country, offering participants an exhilarating experience after a hiatus in 2020 following the closures imposed by COVID-19 restrictions.
