How Coca-Cola turned Sinulog and Dinagyang into eco-festivals with music and recycling

CEBU / ILOILO, Philippines (February 2025) – Coca-Cola Philippines brought the party to two of the country’s biggest festivals: Sinulog in Cebu and Dinagyang in Iloilo. It wasn’t just about music; it was about bringing people together through self-expression and community participation.

At Sinulog, COKE STUDIO™ Philippines showcased electrifying performances by local favorites like Janine Berdin, Wonggoys, and the viral hitmaker Shoti. The highlight of the night was a mesmerizing performance by global artist Zack Tabudlo on the COKE STUDIO™ stage.

Over in Iloilo, the energy at Dinagyang was electric, thanks to Tropa Vibes, rapper Nik Makino, and OPM legends Spongecola. Thousands of music fans danced and sang along, proving that music truly connects everyone.

But the fun didn’t stop with the music. At both festivals, Coca-Cola Philippines set up interactive PET plastic bottle recycling booths. Festival-goers could drop off their empty bottles for exciting prizes and a refreshing Coke beverage, turning waste into an engaging activity. The ‘Ito Ang Gusto Ko’ booth of Royal also brought festival-goers closer to capturing unforgettable moments with fun games and treats.

These initiatives not only promoted proper waste segregation but also supported Coca-Cola’s efforts in increasing packaging collection and recycling. It showed that having fun and doing your part for the environment can go hand-in-hand.
