The Galaxy A06 and A16 series, available in both 5G and LTE variants, now start as low as P4,790 following significant price reductions across all models. The move targets first-time smartphone buyers and budget-conscious users seeking reliable performance with extended software support.
Samsung’s Galaxy A06 5G drops to P6,990 for the 128GB model, down from P7,990, while LTE variants now cost P5,590 and P4,790 for 128GB and 64GB storage respectively. The Galaxy A16 sees deeper cuts, with the 5G 256GB model falling to P12,990 from P13,990, and the LTE 128GB version reduced to P8,990 from P9,990.
Both devices promise extended software support that exceeds typical budget phone standards. The Galaxy A06 offers four years of software upgrades and security updates, while the A16 extends this to six years of operating system and security patches.
Performance comes from MediaTek processors, with the A06 5G using the Dimensity 6300 chipset and the A16 featuring improved specifications over last year’s model. Both phones include 6.7-inch displays, though the A16 upgrades to a Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen for sharper visuals.
Battery life remains consistent across both models with 5,000mAh capacity supporting 25W fast charging. Samsung includes IP54 dust and splash resistance on both devices, addressing durability concerns for daily use.
Design differences set the models apart, with the A06 featuring a modern look in Light Gray and Black colors, while the A16 adopts a more refined appearance with rounded corners and premium Blue Black and Gold options.
Early buyers of the Galaxy A06 5G receive a free travel adapter through June 30, 2025, according to a press release obtained by our editors. Samsung offers flexible payment options including zero-percent installment plans through various financing partners.
