HONOR 400 5G sells out in PH, hits record sales

P22,999

MANILA, Philippines (Jul 2025) – Chinese smartphone maker HONOR Philippines recorded unprecedented demand for its latest AI-powered device, with the HONOR 400 5G selling out completely within three days of launch and generating 15 times more sales than its predecessor.

The rapid sellout signals growing Filipino consumer appetite for artificial intelligence features in smartphones, particularly the device’s signature image-to-video capability that transforms static photos into moving memories using Google’s advanced Veo 2 technology.

“We are still in shock,” said Stephen Cheng, HONOR Philippines Vice President, according to a press release obtained by our editors. “We have been working very hard for the past few months to introduce HONOR 400 5G to our supporters perfectly and it’s safe to say that all our hard work has paid off.”

The device’s breakout success stems largely from its AI-powered photo editing suite. Users can breathe life into old family pictures, create dynamic social media content, and produce professional-grade videos without technical expertise. The HD Moving Photo feature captures what HONOR calls “vivid, live moments,” while AI Eraser and AI Outpainting tools simplify complex editing tasks.

Filipino photography enthusiasts have particularly embraced the phone’s 200MP Ultra-clear AI Camera System. The main sensor features a large 1/1.4-inch sensor with f/1.9 aperture and dual stabilization technology, ensuring sharp images even in challenging lighting conditions common in tropical climates.

Supporting cameras include a 12MP Ultra-Wide and Macro lens for landscape shots and a 50MP Portrait Selfie Camera designed for social media content creation.

Beyond photography, the HONOR 400 5G addresses practical concerns for Filipino users. Its 6000mAh Silicon-carbon Battery maintains over 80 percent health after four years of use, crucial for consumers seeking long-term value. The 80W HONOR Wired SuperCharge technology can power the device to 40 percent capacity in just 15 minutes.

The smartphone launches at PHP 22,999 for the 24GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration, positioning it in the premium mid-range segment. Three color variants are available: Midnight Black, Tidal Blue, and Desert Gold.

Distribution spans both physical and digital channels. HONOR Experience and Partner Stores nationwide carry the device, while online platforms Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop provide e-commerce access. Home Credit financing offers monthly installments as low as PHP 979 for 18 months.

The company promises restocks will arrive “sooner than later” for customers unable to secure units during the initial launch window. Those interested can monitor availability through HONOR’s official website and social media channels for restock announcements.
