Environmental Awards Night 2025
PCPPI Zamboanga Plant receives multiple recognitions at the DENR-EMB Region IX Environmental Awards Night 2025.
Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI), through its Zamboanga Plant, earned three awards at the Environmental Awards Night 2025 organized by the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-EMB) Region IX held in Zamboanga City.
With the theme “Sustaining Together: Honoring Environmental Partners,” the event celebrated organizations whose initiatives contribute meaningfully to environmental protection, sustainable practices, and community collaboration.
During the ceremony, PCPPI Zamboanga Plant was recognized as an Active Adopt-an-Estero Program Partner for its sustained efforts in rehabilitating and maintaining local waterways, helping promote cleaner and safer communities. PCPPI also received the Energy Efficient and Carbon Footprint Initiative Award for implementing energy-saving measures and carbon reduction strategies aligned with national climate goals.
Furthermore, PCPPI was conferred the Environmental Partnership Award in recognition of its strong collaboration with the DENR, local government units (LGUs), and community organizations in advancing shared environmental initiatives and responsible industrial practices.
“These recognitions reaffirm PCPPI’s commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and responsible environmental stewardship,” said Atty. Carina Lenore S. Bayon, PCPPI Chief Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Officer.
“We thank the DENR-EMB IX for these recognitions and for their continued guidance and collaboration. They enable companies like ours to align business operations with environmental responsibility and shared national goals,” she added.
The event gathered around 200 representatives from government agencies, private institutions, industry groups, and non-government organizations (NGOs) across the Zamboanga Peninsula.
