MUNTINLUPA, Philippines (Mar 2026) — If you’ve been waiting for the right time to ditch the gas pump, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is making a strong case for it this week. The car giant is bringing its “Go Beyond Zero” movement to Alabang Town Center from March 25 to 29, giving South residents a first look at the all-new RAV4 HEV and the pure-electric Urban Cruiser BEV.
The event at the Town Plaza isn’t just a static display. Visitors can actually get behind the wheel of the bZ4X and the new Urban Cruiser BEV for test drives, complete with a live demo of how the charging process works. For those eyeing the ever-popular RAV4, dealer professionals will be on-site to schedule test drives and explain the perks of shifting to a hybrid.
The second pure-electric Toyota arrives
The big news for tech-savvy drivers is the arrival of the Urban Cruiser BEV. This is only the second battery-electric vehicle (BEV) Toyota has brought to the Philippines, following the bZ4X. Designed specifically for city life, it boasts a 475-kilometer range on a single charge thanks to its 61.1 kWh lithium-iron battery.
Priced at PHP 2,135,000 (approx. $36,810), it’s positioned as a premium but practical option for those ready to go fully electric. It comes in a range of sleek colors, including “Land Breeze Green” and “Celestial Blue.”
A high-performance hybrid for the daily grind
For those not quite ready for a plug, the all-new RAV4 HEV offers a middle ground with serious power. Both the LTD and ADV variants feature the E-Four AWD system, which uses dual electric motors to provide better grip and performance without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
The RAV4 ADV HEV starts at PHP 2,183,000 (approx. $37,640), while the top-tier LTD variant starts at PHP 2,499,000 (approx. $43,090). If you want the “Platinum White Pearl Metallic” finish, expect to pay a small premium at PHP 2,514,000 (approx. $43,345).
Lexus joins the party
It’s not just Toyota-branded cars in the spotlight. Lexus is also setting up shop at the Corte De Las Palmas area, showcasing the massive LM 350h 7-seater and the RX 350h Executive. It’s a clear signal that the group is pushing for a “multi-pathway” approach—giving Filipinos options ranging from luxury hybrids to affordable urban EVs.
If you’re in the Alabang area this weekend, the “Go Beyond Zero” display is worth a stop to see exactly how close we are to a silent, electric future on Philippine roads.
