Jaecoo Philippines officially launched the all-new J5 EV at PIMS 2026 on June 4, bringing a 461 km NEDC-rated range to a market dominated by Japanese and Korean imports. At ₱1.4 million, the J5 EV positions itself as a value packed electric crossover with a full suite of safety tech and a 7-year vehicle warranty.
Specs and range
The Philippine-market J5 EV is powered by a single electric motor producing 208 PS and 288 Nm of torque, paired with a 58.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The Department of Energy recognizes the NEDC-rated 461 km range — roughly the distance from Manila to Vigan, Ilocos Sur, with reserve. That range comes from a platform shared with the J5 SHS hybrid, but with a fully electric powertrain for zero tailpipe emissions.

Inside, the J5 EV offers a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a fully digital instrument panel, an electronic column shifter, a 50W wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, 19 ADAS functions, a 360-degree camera system, and a power tailgate. Early buyers can take advantage of a deposit multiplier where a ₱10,000 reservation is valued at ₱30,000 until PIMS ends, or ₱20,000 after. Existing vehicle owners get a ₱10,000 repurchase discount, while referrals earn two free PMS visits and an extra ₱10,000 off for the referred buyer. Other perks include one year of free roadside assistance, one year of free preventive maintenance, and three years of complimentary remote vehicle control. Jaecoo backs the J5 EV with a 7-year or 200,000-km vehicle warranty, plus an 8-year or 160,000-km warranty for the battery and electric motor.
