HONOR Philippines has started teasing the Magic V6, the brand’s next-generation book-style foldable, with a poster campaign that promises to “Unfold the Real Magic” while hinting at an ultra-durable Super Steel Hinge.
The first teaser, posted on HONOR Philippines’ Instagram on August 7, shows a partially unfolded foldable with the tagline “Unfold the Real Magic” and a simple “Soon”, captioned “We’re unfolding something better soon.”
Two days later, the account followed up with the Super Steel Hinge teaser, captioning it “Built to flex. Made to last. Outstanding reliability, coming soon.”
The campaign is clearly aimed at a premium foldable launch, and the Magic V6 is already one of the most talked about devices of the year globally.
What the Magic V6 already brings to the table
The Magic V6 launched globally in June 2026, and HONOR calls it the thinnest book-style foldable of 2026, measuring just 8.75mm folded and 4.0mm unfolded, at around 219g.
It packs the largest battery ever seen in a foldable, a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon cell with 25 percent silicon content and an energy density of 921Wh per liter.
Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform built on a 3nm process, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Cameras and displays
The camera system features a 50MP main sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto with a 1/2-inch sensor and 6.5-stop image stabilization, and a 50MP ultra-wide shooter.
Displays are a 6.52-inch outer panel and a 7.95-inch inner foldable, with UTG flexible glass on the inside for a near-zero crease and HONOR’s Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield on the outside.
The outer display protection is exactly what the teaser campaign has been hinting at, alongside the reinforced hinge.
Rugged enough for real life
The Magic V6 offers IP68 and IP69-level resistance to water, dust, and high-pressure sprays under IEC 60529 standards, a rarity in the foldable market, according to the official product page.
It supports 80W wired charging, and HONOR highlights seamless Apple cross-ecosystem connectivity plus intelligent AI agents for large-screen multitasking.
What the teasers mean for the Philippines
HONOR Philippines has not announced a launch date, price, or variant lineup yet, with both teasers ending in “Soon”.
The mention of the Super Steel Hinge and the Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield suggests HONOR is betting the local launch on durability, targeting buyers who worry foldables are fragile.
