Both the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 come in LTE-enabled models, which means they can make calls, send messages, and stream data without being tethered to your phone. But you will need an eSIM plan from a local carrier. Here is how Globe, Smart, and Dito stack up.
Which carriers support Galaxy Watch eSIM?
Based on Samsung’s official support documentation and reports from YugaTech, only Smart and Globe currently support Galaxy Watch eSIM in the Philippines. There is no published evidence that Dito offers wearable eSIM plans for the Galaxy Watch series as of August 2026.
Smart Plans
Smart offers the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 through its Postpaid Plans+ program. According to YugaTech’s coverage of the pre-order launch, the Watch Ultra 2 starts at PHP 750 per month with 0 percent interest installment options up to 24 months. Globe Plans
Globe supports Galaxy Watch eSIM through its GPlan PLUS postpaid plans. The Galaxy Watch can be added as an accessory line to an existing Globe Postpaid subscription. In previous promotions, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic LTE was bundled for free with the Galaxy S26 512 GB pre-order at GPlan PLUS 1499. eSIM activation is done through the Galaxy Wearable app. Visit globe.com.ph/postpaid/wearables for current offers.
Dito
Dito currently offers eSIM for mobile phones through its FLEXPlans and prepaid services, but there is no published support for Galaxy Watch eSIM as of this writing. Dito has not announced any wearable-specific plans or Galaxy Watch bundles. This may change as the carrier continues to expand its network and device portfolio.

The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch Ultra 1 (2025 models) have been succeeded by the Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2, though the Watch 8 may still be available at discounted prices through third-party retailers.
What if you already have the watch and just want an eSIM?
If you bought your Galaxy Watch 8 or Watch Ultra 2 separately (either outright from Samsung, a third-party retailer, or from abroad), you do not need to buy a new device from a carrier. You can simply add an eSIM plan to your existing watch. Here is how it works with each carrier.
Smart: eSIM-only add-on
Smart allows you to add a wearable eSIM line to an existing Smart Postpaid plan without buying a new device. If you are already on a Smart Postpaid plan, you can request a wearable eSIM profile for your Galaxy Watch. The watch will get its own mobile number or share your existing number through NumberSync. The monthly fee is typically PHP 750 per month on top of your main plan. Visit any Smart Store or call their hotline to request the eSIM activation.
Globe: accessory line on GPlan PLUS
Globe offers a wearable accessory line through its GPlan PLUS postpaid plans. If you are an existing Globe Postpaid subscriber, you can request a secondary eSIM profile for your Galaxy Watch. The watch shares your main plan’s data allocation or gets a separate data bucket depending on your plan. The activation fee is typically waived for the first eSIM. Visit a Globe Store or call Globe’s customer service to request the wearable eSIM add-on.
Dito: not yet available
Dito currently does not offer Galaxy Watch eSIM support, whether as a standalone add-on or a device bundle. This is expected to change as the carrier expands its wearable device portfolio, but as of August 2026, there is no way to activate a Galaxy Watch eSIM on Dito’s network.
What you need to activate
Regardless of carrier, you will need your watch’s IMEI, EID, or ICCID number to activate the eSIM. There is typically no additional device purchase required. You are simply adding a secondary eSIM profile to your existing plan. The activation fee for the eSIM itself is usually free or around PHP 50 for a replacement. The monthly cost is the wearable add-on fee (PHP 750 for Smart, PHP 399 to PHP 599 for Globe), charged on top of your main postpaid plan. These can be found on the watch itself by going to Settings > About Watch > Status or by checking the original box. The carrier will use these numbers to provision the eSIM profile. The activation is then completed through the Galaxy Wearable app on your paired phone under Watch settings > Mobile plans.
How to activate
Activation is done through the Galaxy Wearable app on your paired phone. Open the app, go to Watch settings or the Home tab, tap on Mobile plans, and follow the carrier-specific instructions. You will need your watch’s IMEI, EID, or ICCID number, which can be found in the watch settings under About Watch.
