MAKATI CITY, Philippines (Aug 2026) – Getting stranded on the road with a dead battery or flat tire is every driver’s headache, but Pinoy business owners and drivers using utility vehicles now have a round-the-clock safety net.

Starting August 2026, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is offering free 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERS) in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). The program covers new buyers of the Toyota Tamaraw and Toyota Lite Ace, as well as eligible customers under the Takata recall campaign.

What you get when trouble strikes

The coverage lasts for one year from the date the vehicle is released. If something goes wrong on the road, eligible motorists can access key emergency services at no extra cost. These include flat tire replacements, battery jump-starts, minor mechanical fixes on site, emergency fuel delivery, and towing up to 25 kilometers (or one intervention) to the nearest authorized dealership.

How to activate your coverage

To start using the service, owners simply need to scan the QR code printed on the membership card provided with their vehicle. The initiative is tailored for entrepreneurs and working families who rely heavily on vehicles like the locally assembled Toyota Tamaraw for their daily operations and livelihood.

Building safer habits on the road

During the ceremonial contract signing on July 20, Toyota Motor Philippines President Masando Hashimoto emphasized that the company’s commitment to buyers extends well past the showroom floor. AAP President Augustus Ferreria added that the partnership aims to go beyond emergency rescues by fostering better driver education and road discipline across the country.

Note: Specific vehicle pricing for the Toyota Tamaraw and Toyota Lite Ace models varies by variant and was not detailed in the announcement.
