SAN FRANCISCO, USA (Aug 2026) – Building software usually happens inside isolated browser tabs, far away from the rest of the team. Salesforce aims to change that with the launch of Slack Code, an open, multiplayer AI coding environment built directly inside Slack channels.
Instead of forcing developers to work in silos, the new tool brings AI software execution straight into shared group spaces. This allows Pinoy developers, product managers, and designers to build, test, and ship projects together in a single workspace.
Coding moves into shared channels
Traditionally, software creation requires switching between code editors, chat apps, and project tracking tools. Slack Code removes those barriers by turning regular Slack channels into live coding spaces.
Team members can view, edit, and execute code in real time alongside AI agents. Non-technical team members can also jump in, making app development more accessible across entire organizations.
Built with major AI partners
To power the new environment, Salesforce partnered with major artificial intelligence developers, including Anthropic, Cognition, GitHub, and OpenAI. These integrations allow teams to run different AI models and coding assistants directly within their conversations.
By keeping human teams and AI agents in the same channel, companies can speed up development cycles without losing visibility on what is being written.
