I am personally happy for my good friend Matteo Guidicelli especially that he finally has his own CD album coming out November 27th.
He was proud to share this with us bloggers during a recent blogcon held at Star Creatives conference room.
Comprised of six tracks, “Matteo” features the carrier single “Ipapadama Na Lang” which was launched last October. The upbeat video was created through his own concept and was entirely shot in Cebu to showcase the beauty of his hometown. That’s how Matteo loves his roots.
Matteo also has a cover version of Ogie Alcasid’s “Sa Kanya” which is an exciting duet with Asia’s Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez.
He shares, “We recorded this song separately. When I listened to her track, it was beautiful and felt nervous for my track. But after hearing the mix I said, Wow it was so galing! Nice nice.”
Other tracks in the album include “Panaginip”, “Ewan”, “Kathang Isip” and “Annie’s Song” (You Fill Up My Senses).
Working with Matti and as his producer for this album is DJ and spinner KidWolf who is likewise grateful to have collaborated with him on this project.
Of course, everybody was anxious if Matteo has a dedicated song for girlfriend Sarah Geronimo. “Every song and every lyric in this album has something to say about my journey in life and everything about love.”
Watch out for his cover version of “Annie’s Song” and “Ewan”. Nicely rendered!
“Ipapadama Na Lang” single can now be streamed thru Spotify and downloaded from ITunes, Amazon.com and Starmusic.ph.
You can also catch Matteo dish out more songs and display some cute dance moves when he stars in his upcoming solo concert dubbed “MG1” at the Music Museum with special guests Martin Nievera and PMPC awardee Morissette. Directed by Frank Lloyd Mamaril. Musical Direction by Marvin Querido. Show starts 8PM.
I’ve also known Matti as a supporter of Piolo Pascual’s SunPiology fun run event every November where he runs 10KM. He said he was going to lead in the gunstart after which heads off to Music Museum for the show.
“I admit I am nervous for this concert. I still have a lot to learn and do. That’s why I am very thankful and I feel blessed.” he graciously said.
Break a leg Matti! We know you’re going to do just fine and well. See you onstage!
