Jerrold Tarog, the director of “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo”, will be replacing Erik Matti as director the upcoming “Darna” movie starring Liza Soberano. This was confirmed in a press statement issued by ABS-CBN:
ABS-CBN and Star Cinema are pleased to announce that award-winning filmmaker Jerrold Tarog is the new director of “Darna,” with Liza Soberano in the lead role.
Jerrold, who successfully helmed the critically-acclaimed hits “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral,” has warmly accepted the project and will soon commence working on the film.
