REHAU taps Wilcon Depot as exclusive retail partner

MANILA, Philippines – REHAU Philippines, a premier German polymer manufacturing brand, taps Wilcon Depot, a  retailer of construction materials in the country, as its exclusive modern retail partner in a bid to expand its distribution areas.

The company is establishing its presence in the Philippine market by banking on the network of Wilcon Depots nationwide, along with its geographical network expansion in Visayas and Mindanao areas.

“REHAU prides itself of its premium product offerings with superior quality and performance. This time, however, we want to reach more customers, especially with the continued construction boom in the country,” said Christopher Delos Reyes, country manager, REHAU Philippines.

REHAU Philippines also believes that the partnership with Wilcon Depot will give access to more contractors, builders and even end-users, particularly in the government sector, where BUILD, BUILD, BUILD program is being prioritized.

REHAU Southeast Asia, Building Solutions Head David Herensperger said, “the Philippines, as a market, is often underestimated by foreign companies. But for REHAU, it has proven to be the right decision to open an office in 2014. We see the positive impact that the initiatives from the government make in the market.”

REHAU Philippines, which has tripled its business sales after opening their subsidiary office in 2014, is aggressively targeting to quadruple its market share by 2020. The company remains optimistic in its goals since the Philippine market has seen significant growths in several sectors, most notably in the construction sector.

“At REHAU, we are very excited with this partnership. We see this as an opportunity for our company to make our products accessible to consumers. We consider this initiative with Wilcon as a way of strengthening our commitment of helping our customers in building better infrastructures,” said Delos Reyes.

REHAU Philippines believe that Wilcon Depot will help them bring closer to the consumer and that their product offerings are guaranteed and backed by quality assurance, which the brand is known for.

Initially, Wilcon Depot will only be distributing REHAU’s Premium PPr pipes the RAUFUSION. Although it also aims to expand its retail market to some of their construction products in the future, such as Acoustic Sewer Piping system, Glossy Acrylic Door and Surface Materials, PE Pipes, among others.
