Bossjob, the chat-first career platform for professional hiring in Southeast Asia (SEA), is set to gather over 120 companies and key government agencies to provide a one-stop hub for more than 4,000 job seekers expected to attend the Merged 2024 Job Fair on July 13-14, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
This year’s event, in collaboration with the Philippine Dragon Media Network (PDMN), builds on the success of last year’s 2nd Fil-Chi Job Fair and promises to be even bigger and more inclusive, with over 3,000 job vacancies available for job seekers and multilingual talents.
One of the main highlights of the event is the roster of government agencies present to provide government requirement assistance to attendees. Agencies include PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG. Those who wish to register for a national ID may also do so during the two-day event, as the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) will also be gracing the job fair.
During the job fair, Bossjob will conduct a series of workshops for attendees to further equip them with essential skills to navigate the job market and guide them into their career journeys. Activities include a career advice desk where attendees can seek tips on resume building and effective job searching techniques, a mock interview booth that aims to enhance interview skills and boost candidate confidence, and a professional career photo booth where participants can take their professional photos that they can use for their job applications.
Moreover, attendees will have the chance to hear from the joining exhibitors who will serve as speakers at the event.
Bossjob Country Manager Kimberly Chen says this year’s Merged 2024 Job Fair is set to bridge an array of possibilities between job seekers and hiring companies while offering valuable insights and experiences for all attendees.
“Building on our mission to create a comprehensive platform for professional engagement, this year’s Merged 2024 Job Fair is about establishing profound connections between industries and talent. We are dedicated to facilitating not just employment but careers that propel individuals and companies alike toward substantial growth and innovation. By offering a diverse range of workshops, panels, and networking opportunities, we provide a fertile ground for both job seekers and employers to find mutual success and push the boundaries of what’s possible in their fields,” said Chen.
The Philippine-born recruitment platform is currently hosting over 2.9 million registered users in the Philippines. It aims to reach over 30 million users in Southeast Asia by 2026, and as part of its efforts to expand its global market, it has started offering free services this year.
Meanwhile, PDMN continues its commitment to bridging the Filipino and Chinese communities through the highly anticipated Fil-Chi Job Fair, now in its third edition. With PDMN’s extensive reach, this event promises unparalleled brand exposure for companies seeking to connect with the vibrant Fil-Chi market, fostering unity and opportunity in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Partnering with Bossjob for the second year, PDMN expands its reach to diverse job seekers, enriching the event’s significance and impact.
“As PDMN gears up to co-host the Merged 2024 Job Fair, excitement mounts for an unparalleled opportunity to unite job seekers with top employers. This event signifies more than career exploration—it symbolizes a commitment to community empowerment and innovation. Join us as we pave the way for meaningful connections and positive change, celebrating the fusion of cultures and ideas that define PDMN’s mission,” said Peterson Ang, event organizer and editor-in-chief of PDMN.
