Senator Alan Peter Cayetano claims that his inclusion on the so-called “Napolist,” the list of politicians who allegedly earned payoffs from Janet Napoles, is a smear campaign against his bid for presidency in 2016.
“When I announced that I’m running for president, I already expected my name to be dragged into all kinds of accusations of corruption,” Sen. Cayetano says in an interview airing in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” this Thursday (May 22).
The senator strongly denies amassing personal wealth from his priority development assistance fund (PDAF).
“I assure to the public that first, I never got anything from Napoles, even a five-centavo coin. And second, at any time and place I’m ready to face the people accusing me of cheating,” he says.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview, “Moon of Desire” lead actress Meg Imperial reveals that shooting of daring scenes for her afternoon soap opera remains to be a challenge for her. However, Meg is very much cooperative in taping the scenes because she wants to step up as an actress.
“I am conservative. But because I really love my job, I accepted the challenge. I also want to evolve and improve as an actress,” Meg says.
