Ahn Jae-hoon
Ahn Jae-hoon

“Even though it is less than the life here on Earth, I wish the pictures drawn by my experiences and effort can be the thought for someone else.”

Ahn Jae-hoon is a director whose works value the emotions in color thus producing the system named “Studio”. He has gone through the process of Korean animation history through the film era up until the digital age. Moreover, he is the only director who has directed in all genres from a short animation to TV series, commercial films, promotion videos, OVA, and theater. Though he is somehow a realistic person, he has always listened carefully to the people who have lived in the contemporary period in order to make the animations which will encourage them to cheer up.

Sharing his perspective, we sit down and come face to face with the director whose body of work has contributed to the success of the Korean Animation Industry.

DAY 2: NOVEMBER 26 (WEDNESDAY)

Picking Producers’ Brains: What are they looking for? (BY Various Producers) [9:00 – 12:00 N.N.]

To support the industry’s efforts to develop more animated content in a number of different platforms, we invite producers and explore the inner workings of their minds. We aim to discover their individual processes, their requirements for choosing projects and production partners aside from identifying how they see animation in their future.

Conferences and Content Markets: Building a Competitive Edge (BY Adam Ham, CEO- Global Creative Media Agency Malaysia & Jefrey Linis, ACM SIGGRA PH) [2:00 – 5:00 P.M.]

For animation, developing content and seeing it made is already a challenge, more so in finding good distribution partners. It is twice as challenging for local animated content to be noticed and picked up by networks, producers, directors, and distribution outfits.

Our speakers Mr. Adam Ham of Global Creative Media Agency (GCMA) and Jeffrey Linis of ACM SIGGRAPH shall introduce the conferences and content markets that will hopefully aid creatives in distributing their animated works properly. We hope to learn from them the kind of network we need to build as content producers, some tips in getting our intellectual properties to stand out from the rest and hopefully be more familiar with the processes following the completion of an animated content.

DAY 3: NOVEMBER 27 (Thursday)
