TAGUIG, Philippines – In just a few days, the streets of Bonifacio Global City will come alive with a grand, colorful parade celebrating our Filipino roots, a series of lively street dances, variety shows, a string of exciting games and workshops, plus sumptuous food for the BGC community and guests to feast on.
BGC Passionfest is an annual celebration of all things Filipino, held in homage of the life of the hero Andres Bonifacio. It aims to rekindle the Filipino spirit and elicit a renewed sense of pride to be Filipino. And what better way to celebrate being Filipino than having a street fiesta?
This year’s celebration will revolve around the theme, “Bayanihan Fiesta,” and will celebrate the Filipino’s unique spirit of communal unity and cooperation despite trying times.
The city’s fun-filled celebration is running for its fifth straight year. This time, it is set to take place from November 25 to 27 in Bonifacio High Street and the city center.
A giant Slidefest is set for this year as well as a wacky obstacle race, tangram, ring toss, plus bike lessons for the young and the young-at-heart. Special performances are lined up from Globe Live’s Christmas Symphonies, The Mind Museum’s Science Circus Show, and many more artists.
Pets are also part of this year’s fun. Reveal your furry friends’ skills, dress them up in the cutest way possible, and register them for the Doggie olympics to showcase their skills.
Festivities will begin at 11am all the way to 8pm in the evening.
“For full three days, BGC Passionfest will showcase the richness of Philippine culture and the arts, celebrate all passionate activities, and gather families and friends,” says BGC’s City Marketing Assistant Manager, Joanne Magno.
