Being one of biggest basketball nations in Asia, the Philippines is a hub for young basketball talents. adidas Philippines brings back its focus on the youth through its grassroots program, adidas Nations. Partnering with NBA FIT, adidas Nations aims to develop the rich basketball talent in the country by giving young basketball players aged 13 and below a chance to participate in a basketball training camp.

The NBA FIT Week is the NBA’s program that highlights the importance of healthy living through three pillars: be active, eat healthy, and play together. One of the initiatives of the NBA FIT Week is the NBA Fit | adidas Nations Skills Camp which aims to encourage athletes to learn to be active in their chosen sport.

“The kids here in the Philippines are crazy for basketball. A lot of them have potential and we want to give them the opportunity to be trained by some of the best in the sport. Here in adidas, we want only the best for our athletes, and that includes opportunities like these training camps and providing them with products that have the latest in technology and innovation – an example of this would be the Crazylight Boost 2015 which features Primeknit technology for the first time ever in a basketball shoe, along with Boost cushioning. We consider it as our most innovative basketball shoe yet. It’s lightweight which allows our athletes to be quick on their feet,” shared Pat Giron, adidas PH Category Lead for Basketball.
