He has been in the showbiz industry for at least five years now and has done significant support roles and was even in an all-male group the Harana Boys. Remember them?
In a recent blogcon, we got to know bits about Bryan Santos who plays third party in the highly-rated KimXi series “The Story of Us”, in the love story of the lead characters played by Xian Lim and Kim Chiu.
Bryan shared it felt “surreal” that he was given such a break in a high-profile project.”Initially ‘yung news na magkakaroon ng teleserye that shoots abroad in New York of all places, doon pa lang I was like, ‘Oh wow!’” he said. “Doon pa lang, I never would imagine na magkakaroon ng opportunity na ganoon.”
“Number two, nung naging aware ako sa involvement ng character ko sa main love story ni Kim-Xian, doon ako parang ‘no way.’ Kumbaga parang lahat ay unexpected. Sobrang blessing lang ang dumating sa akin. I have no idea na pwede pa lang magkaroon ng ganoong opportunity na tipong hindi ko ini-expect talaga,” he added.
Bryan also plays the son to Clodette, played by one of the best actress in her contemporary, Ms Princess Punzalan. Intimidated at first, Bryan said “It’s been a true pleasure working with Princess because she doesn’t make me feel I am too inexperienced to work with her.” He also described her Mommy Clodette as a sweet person in real life and very professional.
In “The Story of Us,” Santos play CJ Lowery, who is poised to take over his family’s business. Most of his scenes were taken in New York City but in reality, Bryan grew up in California who is very Pinoy in heart, mind and soul. Back in the days, he could not yet speak straight Tagalog but he understands it and he thanks Star Magic for all the rigorous Tagalog lessons he went through and obviously has all paid off.

On the premise of being the thirdwheel or third party guy in the KimXi Love Team:
“Okay lang naman sa akin. I understand and know naman the possibility of that happening comes with the process talaga,” he said, noting that these fans are “passionate” about the KimXi love team. “At the end of the day, let’s say bash kung bash. In a sense effective siguro ‘yung pagiging third party sa love triangle nila.”
Before casting in “The Story of Us,” Bryan has already played the third party in “Imortal” and “Galema: Anak ni Zuma.”
As Bryan essays the role of a third party in the series, he is overwhelmed. “Never did I expect na maging third party for a love team na ganitong level. Ito na ‘yung first na pwede akong maging third party na naisip ko na ‘naku baka ma-bash ako nito, ‘di yata ako magustuhan ng mga tao.’ ‘Yun ‘yung first time na naisip ko ‘yon,” Bryan attests.
“The Story of Us” airs weeknights right after “Dolce Amore”. His role as CJ debuted this week and expect more from this charming and very likable and sensible actor.
