Internationally acclaimed child actor Bugoy Cariño will topbill ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (May 3) to portray the character of Jose, an eight-year-old boy who stands as a parent to his seven younger siblings after their mother and father abandoned them.

Jose brings his one-month-old sibling with him when he goes to school. And everytime his youngest sibling cries, Jose, with his brother in his arms, runs to a room in the school and ask alms from his teachers.

What inspires a child like Jose to stand up and raise his little siblings? What will Jose do when his mother comes back after so many years?

Joining Bugoy in the upcoming heavy drama episode of “MMK” are Izzy Canillo, JB Agustin, CX Navarro, Desiree del Valle, Ian de Leon, Perla Bautista and Beverly Salviejo. It is directed by Nuel Naval, written by Joan Habana and Arah Jell Badayos, and researched by Richard Nepomuceno.

“MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos, production manager Roda dela Cerna, and executive producers Lindsay Anne Dizon and Fe Catherine San Pablo.
