Café Enye is a casual restaurant that serves Colonial Spanish cuisine, headed by the dynamic kitchen duo Chef RJ Ungco and Chef Cris Dytuco. “Our dishes are inspired from where the Spaniards have settled, specifically Northern Morocco, Argentina, Central America and the Philippines. We aim to offer a unique blend of new flavors, innovative ingredient pairings, infused with local flair,” says Chef Ungco.

Our well appointed interiors, designed by Arch. Alan Casas, was specifically intended to provide nooks for power meetings and comfortable casual spaces for gatherings and entertainment. The style was key; it was crucial to have a hint of Spanish with modern touches of Filipino lifestyle. It was important to us not to make it feel too thematic. The space is accented with thoughtful details like hand-painted scripts by popular calligraphist Alexis Ventura, and the mural oil painting, Floral Woman, executed by Japanese artist Akane Watanabe. Thoughtfulness and artisanal craftsmanship were the running themes throughout; from daily fresh baked breads, handcrafted cocktails and coffee bean roasting, all done in-house.

Aside from the main dining room, Café Enye also has a large al fresco area adjacent to the bar, and a function room that can accommodate up to 25 persons for meetings and parties. The entire restaurant can accommodate for private functions that can seat a total of 120 persons. A unique feature of the bar is the operable stained glass walls that can open up the space to the al fresco and main dining areas, where specialized events such as mixology competitions can be held.

Café Enye is open from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. daily. We have amazing breakfast fare, like our Brunch Paellas that’s unfailingly filling infused with pinoy-silog science. Served in a Paellera with house-cured and homemade, beef tapa, milk fish, longganisa and corned beef as main dish options, it comes topped with egg, crispy anchovies, salsa, and pickled veggies (P215).

For lunch and dinner, our starters have been getting a lot of attention too. The soft and savory Callos Buns (P135 for 3 pieces) and Pollo Croquettas (P175) with its crispy marinated chicken bechamel served with salsa verde and home made pickles, these are quite addicting. Our most raved about is the Lechon Carbonara (P250), which is also a sure crowd pleaser with its classic pasta topped with our homemade mojo chicharrones. The six-hour slow cooked Callos Ala Casa (P440) is also a must-try. If you’re looking for something a little more Western, The Burgerrizo (P290) never disappoints, with its freshly baked bun, homemade beef and chorizo patty, topped with Latin slaw, cheese, and egg, generously served with thick cut fries.

For dessert, our pate choux inspired churros or Chouxros (P170) takes on a different interpretation to what most people are used to. It’s lighter and fluffier, and served with red egg dulce de leche and choco peanut butter dips. We also have daily freshly baked selections of pastries and cakes in our dessert bar section.

We invite you to try and explore Café Enye with an open mind. Leave all your expectations of a traditional Spanish restaurant behind, and be prepared to experience something completely extraordinary but hauntingly familiar.
