Captain America: Civil War Screening by PMCM A Success!

civil2The worldwide anticipation for Marvel’s latest Avengers starrer,  Captain America: Civil War has come to pass…with flying colors, favorable reviews  and raking in millions of bucks in the box office breaking  its predecessor, Avengers: Age of Ultrons own opening weekend record!  (as expected)

Just recently, one of our partners, PMCM Events Management held a packed and successful special blocked screening of the film at Cinema 3, Resorts World Manila. Regarded mandatory during PMCM movie events, a set of exciting raffle prizes from generous sponsors were given away prior to watching Civil War. CEO and Founder Ms. Mys Sandico was on hand in the overall proceedings alongside her dedicated hardworking and kind staff who were in full force attending to screening tasks.  Woot!

13062596_10153378823726783_1991446854_oYours truly was also there together with Mr. Astig Founder Dennison and team mate Kax. We unanimously had fun watching! It has also been a cool habit of PMCM to provide its guests with overflowing post-screening freebies courtesy of  its various kind partner-sponsors. Thank you all so much!

Knowing Marvel’s trend in its well thought out films, this was the statement from Mervel Studios president, Kevin Feige:

“This is the Civil War of the Cinematic Universe, which will be greatly inspired by the “Civil War” of the comic universe, but we have a very different continuity going on. So this will be Civil War based off all the other films you’ve seen up until this point, particularly Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron…It’s not about the secret identity thing, as much as it is about, overall, who reports to who, and who can agree to [an] oversight committee. Because as of now, in [Age of Ultron], there is no more security council, there is no S.H.I.E.L.D., obviously. Stark is paying for [the Avengers], Captain America is running it, and things occur that will make governments begin to question.”

—Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios

Based on its interesting plot, Steve Rogers aka Capt. America leads the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Ironman Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
civil5Notice in Civil War a couple more superheroes in the likes of Black Panther skillfully acted by Chadwick Boseman  and loads of laugh, Ant-Man courtesy of Paul Rudd. Plus the high flying return of our friendly neighborhood SpiderMan, playfully starred by British actor Tom Holland  who’s voice in the film resembled that of Tobey Maguire in my opinion. These are no longer spoilers. panther2
civil6Better come and watch this movie for yourself to be entertained and please stay behind for upcoming teasers.

Do watch out for PMCM’s upcoming follow up block screening  middle of this month. It’s the latest installment of Marvel Comics’ “mutant” heroes action film! Your guess is as good as mine!  ☺☺
