NEW YORK, USA (Jun 2025) — Firaxis has unveiled a new trailer for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, giving Nintendo Switch 2 users a closer look at the game’s updated features ahead of its June 5 launch.
The latest installment in the award-winning franchise brings several improvements to the Nintendo Switch 2, including support for the upgraded Joy-Con 2 controllers with mouse-like input, enhanced graphics, and larger map sizes. Multiplayer has also been upgraded to allow more players and introduce GameChat for smoother coordination.
In Civilization VII, players take on the role of historical leaders to build and expand empires through the Ages. The game emphasizes strategic decision-making as players explore, develop, and either conquer or collaborate with rival civilizations.
Philippine-based fans of the series can look forward to a more immersive handheld experience, thanks to the performance upgrades on the new Nintendo Switch 2 console.
