Dalanghita Productions celebrate love with “Tatlong Linggong PAG-IBIG”


Dalanghita Productions presents their 2016 production, “Tatlong Linggong PAG-IBIG” – a three weekend theater treat of six original one-act Filipino plays featuring some of the popular playwrights, directors and actors. They are set to open on November 11 and shall run at Power Mac Center Spotlight – Level 2, Circuit Makati.

The six plays will be divided to two that will make it 3 one act plays each.

Set A features productions from:

Isanlibong Taon: (Playwright: Pertee Brinas, Music: Ejay Yatco, Director: Guelan Luarca)

The play is set in the early 90’s, where Philip comes back to his hometown in Palawan after two years of pursuing greener grass in Manila.

Mula Sa Kulimliman: (Playwright: Carlo Vergara, Director: Hazel Gutierrez)

Estranged from her parents, an ordinary housewife is faced with a shocking truth about her husband, and she is forced to question whether her life had all been a fantasy, and if the fantasy, and if the fantastic were actually real.

Malapit Man, Malayo Rin: (Playwright: Chris Martinez, Director: Melvin Lee)

The Manila traffic problems becomes a roadblock to a couple’s brewing love affair. The man is from the “North” and the woman is from the “South”.

The play is a sung through, one-act play musical chronicling the unrequited love of Maestra, a Filipino teacher during the Spanish period who falls in love with grave digger Honorato.

Ang Una at Comeback Album ni Pete: (Playwright & Music: Juan Miguel Severo, Director: Mara Paulina Marasigan)

Pete, an ex-child star, is certain that he has what it takes to stage a successful return to the spotlight, this time as  singer-songwriter with a concept album based on the characters of Peter Pan.
