LONDON – Deezer, the global digital music streaming service, has today expanded its content offering by adding news and entertainment programming which will work seamlessly with its music catalogue and more than 20,000 podcasts and radio shows to offer the most extensive and customizable audio experience across the globe.
Deezer listeners in France, UK and Sweden can now search, add and listen to over 20,000 shows from top content providers including Slate, Financial Times, Monocle 24, Radio Nova, Télérama and Sveriges Radio. The launch of the new talk programming to Deezer’s music streaming service means listeners can now access a truly global network of music, news and entertainment from around the world – all in one place.
The launch marks the integration of top radio programming from Stitcher, the leading radio and podcast app acquired by Deezer last October.
“Deezer is pairing the best news and entertainment with the largest music catalogue in the world to become the leading service for on demand music, radio and podcasts,” said Hans-Holger Albrecht, CEO of Deezer. “This move signals our commitment to leading innovation, with a vision of becoming a single destination for audio, tailor-made for each listener. We’ll continue to roll out new programming in additional regions throughout the year.”
