Fans became excited during One More Chance Book and DVD launch when the Blockbuster Director Cathy Garcia-Molina revealed that Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz is set to make a movie with her this year.

But its not confirmed yet if its gonna be related to the movie, a sequel or a new story.

Held at Fairview Terraces last July 31, the people behind “One More Chance” promoted its book version and the digitally remastered and restored copy of the movie.

Novel’s author Juan Miguel Sevilla said that its his honour to create the book version of the highly acclaimed film that defined a generation’s view in love and breakups. “It was both honor and pressure to me, honored because of its phenomenal success and a pressure to me because fans are expecting a lot from the book”, he said.

Screenplay writers Vanessa Valdez and Carmin Raymundo who were the original writers of the story were also present as they shared some back stories about the movie.

Movie Stars Bea Alonzo and John lloyd Cruz meanwhile reminisce the moments they had in the film which made them certified blockbuster actors.

“[The line] it takes grown-ups to make a relationship work,” Bea said of the line from Mark, played by Derek Ramsay. That line is preceded by, “Minsan (sometimes), it’s better for two people to break up so they can grow up.”

Bea also said this: “Pinakafavorite ko yung tumatak sa mga tao yung ‘Ako na lang, ako na lang ulit.’”

John Lloyd said: “S’yempre naman may makakalimot ba sa ‘you had me at my best.’ Totoo naman iyon sa lalaki di ba? Kung kailan okay naman at ang tino-tino mo tapos ibebreak mo yung heart niya,” he added.

As for the movie being a classic, both are very happy that people continue to support the film.

“Siguro wala naman sa amin nakaisip [na magiging classic ito.] Nung ginawa namin ito para lang kami mga siraulo na gusto makapag-kuwento ng kuwento nung Basha and Popoy…siguro dahil sobra naming minahal, ng mga barkada namin sa pelikulang ito, pati nung mga tao sa likod ng camera, kaya ako naniwala ako sa ano, you get what you give.” John Lloyd said.

“So kung yung binuhos namin dito 8 years ago, parang hanggang ngayon nagbubunga pa rin siya ng maganda,” he added.

After eight years, its indeed One More Chance is the most loved romance Filipino film of all time that’s why fans are really excited to see the two reunited in a movie set to premiere later this year.
