PHILIPPINES – The UPLB Economics Society brings you ECONVERGENCE, an annual inter-high school scholastic economic convention that aims to promote economics through the analysis of relevant social issues in the country.
For the past eleven years, ECONVERGENCE has been well participated by various high schools nationwide. The various competitions in ECONVERGENCE have served as avenues for students to showcase their skills and knowledge in the application of economic concepts.
In addition, Econvergence has served as a platform for enhancing the teaching of economics through its Economic Forum, an event held in partnership with the Department of Economics (DE) of the College of Economics and Management, UPLB.
This year, ECONVERGENCE 2017 will focus on the theme: “Addressing Economic Regional Disparity: Assessing Federalism as Avenue for Inclusive Economy”. The event will held on 4-5 February 2017 at the BP International-Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna.
