MANILA, Philippines (Apr 2025) – Epson has introduced the SureColor P20530 (SC-P20530) Photo Graphic Production Printer, a high-performance printing solution designed for professional photographers and graphic designers. The new model builds on the SC-P20070, offering enhanced efficiency, expanded color capabilities, and improved sustainability.
The demand for high-quality photo printing continues to grow, with the Asia-Pacific region leading the shift toward eco-friendly printing solutions. Addressing this trend, the SC-P20530 introduces a wider color gamut, deeper blacks, and faster print speeds while reducing power consumption and plastic waste.
Advanced Color Accuracy and Speed
Equipped with a 12-color UltraChrome PRO ink set, the SC-P20530 enhances color reproduction with newly added orange, green, and violet inks. These additions improve the accuracy of Pantone colors, ensuring true-to-life images. The printer also features 9,600 nozzles and dedicated channels for different ink types, delivering smooth gradations and precise textures.
A new Black Enhanced Overcoat (BEO) technology boosts black depth and contrast without requiring additional ink. Despite the expanded ink range, the SC-P20530 maintains a high-speed output, enabling businesses to increase productivity without compromising print quality.
Sustainability and Cost Efficiency
Epson designed the SC-P20530 with sustainability in mind. The printer uses 92.3% less plastic per liter of ink compared to traditional cartridges, significantly cutting down on waste. The hardware itself is made from over 30% recycled plastic, and the product’s life cycle assessment indicates a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions per liter of ink used.
With an ENERGY STAR Version 3.0 certification, the SC-P20530 minimizes power consumption, particularly in sleep mode. Its increased ink capacity—1.6 liters, 2.3 times more than the previous model—allows businesses to save on operational costs while reducing environmental impact.
Enhanced User Experience and Functionality
The SC-P20530 features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, replacing the smaller button-based interface of its predecessor. Epson Cloud Solution PORT provides a centralized print management system, while an optional Adobe PostScript module enhances PDF reproduction and raster image processing.
For large-scale printing, the printer supports media up to 64 inches (1,626mm) wide, including photo paper, transparent film, and backlight film rolls. An auto take-up system simplifies handling, and an integrated dust cover protects prints from contaminants, reducing reprint costs.
Epson also improved maintenance access, allowing users to reach the printhead area without tools. Built-in lighting around the printhead helps with upkeep, ensuring stable operation over time.
