Free CPR training program launched to prevent cardiac arrest in the Philippines

Could you save a loved one’s life if their heart stopped beating?

The harsh reality is that 8 out of 10 cardiac arrests in the Philippines happen at home, with family members watching helplessly because they don’t know what to do. But here’s the good news – you can learn these life-saving skills for free.

Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc. is stepping up to bridge this critical knowledge gap through their Barangay BK initiative, offering free Hands-Only CPR training across the country.

Starting from within

The company kicked off its CPR-Ready campaign by training its own employees first. Dr. Francis Lavapie from the Philippine Heart Association (PHA) led the initial training sessions, teaching proper CPR techniques and AED use.

“Every Filipino deserves the chance to save a life,” says Dr. Luis Go, Medical Director of Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc. “This isn’t just about healthcare access – we’re building a stronger, more resilient Pinoy community.”
