The roadmap features a new mid-year global tournament set for July and the celebrated Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals in November.
As part of the announcement, Garena revealed a strategic shift in branding for all local Free Fire leagues, now under the FFWS banner. This change heralds a series of regional and local tournaments across Brazil, Southeast Asia (SEA), Latin America (LATAM), and the Middle East (MEA), enhancing the global footprint of Free Fire esports.
The inaugural mid-year global tournament promises intense competition, showcasing 18 top Free Fire teams from various regional leagues. These include the best from FFWS SEA Spring, FFWS Brazil, FFWS LATAM, and representatives from the MEA and Pakistan. The champion of this tournament will not only gain prestige but also secure a coveted slot in the FFWS Global Finals 2024.
Fans can expect a thrilling offline showdown at the FFWS Global Finals in November. Eighteen teams, including qualifiers from FFWS SEA Fall, FFWS Brazil, FFWS LATAM, and the mid-year tournament champion, will vie for the top spot in Free Fire’s largest tournament.
