MANILA, Philippines (Apr 2025) — Garmin has introduced three new devices to its Approach line, offering Filipino golfers more ways to track, train and improve their game. The latest releases include the Approach S50 GPS smartwatch, the Approach CT1 tracking tags, and the Approach G20 Solar GPS handheld — Garmin’s first solar-powered golf device.

These additions are designed to help golfers of all skill levels better understand their performance, optimize training routines, and extend playtime with smarter battery technology. Each product integrates with Garmin’s ecosystem and the Garmin Golf smartphone app for a seamless experience.

The Approach S50 is a sleek GPS golf smartwatch equipped with a wrist-based heart rate sensor and features aimed at total wellness. Golfers can track their sleep, stress levels, energy, and fitness age, while preloaded workouts for yoga, strength, and cardio support off-course conditioning. It includes a Morning Report to jumpstart the day with health and training insights, and a ComfortFit Nylon strap designed for all-day wear.

For more precise game tracking, the S50 pairs with the new Approach CT1 club tracking tags. These lightweight tags attach to golf club grips and collect shot data including distance and club usage. Golfers simply tap the tag to the watch before a swing to record performance metrics in real time. After the round, they can access detailed stats and strokes gained analysis via the Garmin Golf app.

Garmin also unveiled the Approach G20 Solar, a compact handheld device built for long days on the green. The 2.2-inch sunlight-readable display shows yardages to the front, middle and back of the green, as well as hazards and doglegs. It comes preloaded with over 43,000 golf courses worldwide and can last up to 36 rounds on a single charge, even without direct solar exposure. The device mounts easily on a belt or golf cart and includes a Find My Garmin feature for added peace of mind.

With features like green view, course updates, weather data, and club suggestions, the G20 Solar aims to give golfers more control on the course — no matter the conditions. It’s built to endure rain and wind with an IPX7 water resistance rating.

All three products are now available in the Philippines. The Approach S50 smartwatch retails for PHP 25,990, the G20 Solar at PHP 19,490, and the Approach CT1 tracking tags for PHP 6,490. Shoppers can purchase them starting March 20 through Garmin Philippines’ official website, Kinetic, Lazada, and Shopee.

For Filipino golf enthusiasts looking to upgrade their gear, Garmin’s latest Approach lineup delivers high-tech tools to play smarter and longer.
