A brain tumor is a collection, or mass, of abnormal cells in your brain. Your skull, which encloses your brain, is very rigid. Any growth inside such a restricted space can cause problems. While brain tumor is curable, medical operations and procedures are still delicate and it costs too much.
JR Pineda Martin, the father of a child with a brain tumor is knocking to everyone’s heart to help his seven year old, Jan, in fighting against the said brain disease. Thru the online donation site, Gava Gives, he posted a fundraising campaign to support the funding of Jan’s upcoming “Open Scalp Surgery.”
Here’s his appeal to everyone.
“The causes of brain tumor is unknown but still ongoing research.
Our son Jan was diagnosed with Ependimoma with intraventricular extension.
He was only 7 years old in 2015 when all started, our little warrior needed open scalp surgery, sadly he had 3 so far because we never had enough money to afford his radiotherapy and he kept fighting and coming back from the surgery but this time things have changed, this is our last chance to save our son, medics have advised that his fragile body won’t be able to cope with another brain surgery and if Jan doesn’t have his 33 radio sessions he will leave us.
To any kind soul, we are reaching out to you in despair, please help us to save our son, any contribution either small or large will be very much appreciated.
Thanks & God bless.”
