SINGAPORE – Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse has announced the return of the much-anticipated GENSHIN CONCERT 2023, titled “Melodies of an Endless Journey,” for Genshin Impact enthusiasts. Scheduled for December 22, 2023, at 7 p.m. (UTC+8), the free online concert will be broadcast across popular platforms like YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and X (formerly known as Twitter).
This virtual musical extravaganza promises a fusion of music, animation, and cutting-edge technology, aiming to captivate both music enthusiasts and gamers alike. The concert will showcase performances by the esteemed London Philharmonic Orchestra and various international musicians. Leveraging innovative XR, AR, and animation technologies, the event seeks to bring to life some of Genshin Impact’s most cherished moments, highlights, and memorable cutscenes.
With an approximate duration of 60 minutes, the concert boasts a repertoire of over 25 tracks encompassing the diverse musical elements and genres from all five nations featured in the game. Members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Robert Ziegler, known for their previous involvement in the performance of Mondstadt and Fontaine soundtracks, return to present authentic symphonic renditions. Additionally, talented singers and musicians will showcase the diversity of genres, elements, and instruments within Genshin Impact’s music.
Yasunori Nishiki, recognized for his work on Octopath Traveler and various video games, serves as the Music Director for the entire GENSHIN CONCERT 2023, blending the musical experience with the fantasy world of Genshin Impact.
Launched in September 2020, Genshin Impact has gained global acclaim as an award-winning open-world adventure role-playing game. The original game’s music, produced by HOYO-MiX, the in-house music studio of HoYoverse, encapsulates the essence of Teyvat’s seven nations, each with its distinct musical theme and multiple soundtrack collections reflecting the history, culture, and landscapes of the respective regions.
The GENSHIN CONCERT online concert series aims to foster music exchange, education, and accessibility among fans, players, and the general public. As part of this initiative, offline concerts have been conducted internationally, while the “Impact4Music: Music for All” benefit project supports student orchestras and musicians in Europe.
Moreover, the U.S. Genshin Impact Union (USGIU), in collaboration with HoYoverse, contributes to GENSHIN CONCERT 2023 by organizing a series of campus events, offering opportunities for more individuals to engage with Genshin Impact’s music.
Dr. Piero Scaruffi, an Italian-American scholar and critic, highlighted Genshin Impact’s music in a lecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, emphasizing its fusion of various genres, elements, instruments, and musicians from around the world.
