MANILA, Philippines – Mikey Bustos and Google Philippines are inviting foodies and barkadas to join the Search for an Epic Food Trip. Be part of a new Google Search commercial by taking videos of your barkada enjoying great pinoy food in food spots and restaurants in town. Deadline of submission is extended to August 23, so you can spend your long weekend on a really epic food trip.

Show the fun side of your barkada while restaurant hopping and food munching and make sure you show how Google Search helped you. Go crazy with your ideas with as much creativity as you can.

Here are 3 tips on how you can make a really exciting video:

1. Include as many fun snippets as you can

It may be a funny shot of your friends devouring a huge one pound burger, or a quirky clip of your friends sharing a very long spaghetti noodle. Or, be daring and dip your fries in your ice cream for a sweet potato fry. You can try jumping into the pool with sizzling chicken wings.

2. Pretend you’re a pro for a day

Use as many camera techniques as you can. Simple but different camera angles, when put together, can bring dramatic impact to your final cut – close up, zoom out, tilt left, pan right, or low angles can add dimension to your shots. Try quick cuts and fast movements, too. Play with filters and effects for added drama.

3. Make sure that you have shots that tell the Search story

It’s fun to go around looking for the next food adventure, but it’s even better when you do a Google Search on your devices for the best exotic fried frog in town. Make sure to include a clear shot of you doing a Search or Voice Search on Google to help you and your barkada have a really epic food trip.

Send your video to [email protected]. Mikey will also choose the most epic barkada video, and they will take home a GoPro.
