Heavy Favorite “Changing Partners” Wins Big; As “Paki” Took Home Best Picture

Year in year out, Cinema One Originals have been getting bigger, bolder and more daring. This year they opted for the #WalangTakot battle cry. And if you noticed the in-competition films, each and everyone has its own spunk.

And for the recently held awards night held at the Dolphy Theater, we once again celebrate the power and beauty of these indie films whose messages once again inspired, stirred and entertained the movie goers imagination.

Heavy favorite “Changing Partners” became the grand winner with eight awards (combined technical and acting awards) followed by Giancarlo Abrahan’s “Paki” with four who interestingly tied for Best Direction.  “Histographika Errata” secured three. It really don’t really matter how many trophies it is but what’s more important is the impact of the film towards its indie movie goers.
