MELBOURNE, Australia – Holly Holm shocked the world when she knocked out undefeated bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey Sunday morning at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm unleashed a barrage of punches and a kick to the head of Rousey, who suffered her first professional defeat at 59 seconds of the second round.
The undefeated 3-division world boxing champion proved too much for Rousey. A natural southpaw, Holm kept Ronda at bay, landing her vicious left hand and elbow through the entire fight.
Holly Holm becomes the UFC Bantamweight Champion, advancing to 10-0 while Ronda Rousey’s suffers her first professional defeat at 12-1.
