PARAÑAQUE CITY, Philippines – In a bold step toward enhancing road safety, Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) and Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) have partnered with Tamang Ride PH, an advocacy initiative under A Child’s Trust is Ours to Nurture (ACTION), Inc. The partnership was formalized through a memorandum of agreement on January 6, aiming to promote road safety awareness and skills, especially for children, teens, and beginner riders.
Tamang Ride PH, launching in May 2025, will act as a platform to amplify road safety education and encourage active public participation. Honda is contributing Php 1 million to fund the development of the Tamang Ride app and other road safety initiatives. Educational content will be shared via social media, raising awareness and fostering a safety-first mindset among Filipinos.
Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) will play a key role, offering expert training and road safety modules. Programs like “Kids on Safety” and “Teen Smart” will be expanded through collaboration with ACTION, with Honda allocating Php 980,000 for the Tamang Ride Educational Module’s development and pilot programs.
This initiative aligns with Honda’s global commitment to reduce road traffic deaths by 50% by 2030 and achieve zero road crashes by 2050. It builds on Honda’s prior collaboration with the MMDA, initiated in 2023, to improve road safety data and strategies.
Since 2008, HSDC has championed its “Safety for Everyone” campaign, equipping drivers and riders with essential skills through world-class facilities in Parañaque City. These efforts are bolstered by Honda’s multi-year partnership with the United Nations, making Honda the first vehicle manufacturer to join this global road safety initiative.
Guided by its brand slogan, “The Power of Dreams – How We Move You; Create, Transcend, and Augment,” Honda reinforces its commitment to meaningful progress and safer communities, ensuring that every Filipino family can look forward to safer journeys ahead.
