The company confirmed the device will be officially unveiled in the Philippines on September 5.
According to a press release obtained by our editors, the HONOR Magic V5 stands out for its unique combination of a slim profile, a durable build, and a large battery. The phone is equipped with a camera system HONOR is calling the AI Falcon Camera System. The setup includes a 64MP Periscope Telephoto Camera, a 50MP Wide Camera, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera. This combination aims to deliver professional-grade photography across various zoom levels and shooting scenarios.
Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines, stated the new device sets a “new benchmark for foldable smartphone,” emphasizing how it blends portability, durability, and a top-tier camera. The company is positioning the Magic V5 as a device that addresses the camera and battery limitations found in competing foldable models.
The launch event is scheduled to be broadcast live on HONOR Philippines’ Facebook page. The announcement marks the arrival of what the company is marketing as “#MyFirstFoldable” for the Philippine market.
