The Sigaw ng Kabataan Coalition (SKC), the Chosen Youth for Change organization, and the Rotaract Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City is organizing an intercultural youth convention titled ISANG LAHI, an event that highlights the diversity and richness of our culture with special focus on tribes in Mindanao.
The event will be participated by around 500 youth leaders from various parts of the country and it will be held on May 10, 2017 at the Occupational Health and Safety Center, North Avenue corner Agham Road, Quezon City.
ISANG LAHI will have talks, and cultural performances from members of various tribes and tackle common issues that the Filipino Youth across the nation is facing and how to address it.
Federalism and various initiatives by the Government will also be discussed by government representatives.
Honored guests include Sec. Silvestre Bello, Secretary of Labor, Usec. Aiza Segguera, National Youth Commission, Representative from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, Hon. Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, AMIN Party-list Representative, DILG Representative, and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez. There will be a message from the President, to be delivered by his Excellency’s representative.
