MANILA, Philippines – “It’s Showtime” kicked off its fifth anniversary festivities last Wednesday (October 1) by unveiling a multi-colored anniversary logo to signify that madlang people of all backgrounds can join the momentous celebration of the country’s number one noontime program.
As if to echo the program’s theme song with the lyrics “anumang lahi, anumang kulay,” hosts Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Kuya Kim Atienza, Billy Crawford, Karylle, Jhong Hilario, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Coleen Garcia, Eruption Tai, and Vice Ganda opened the show with a colorful dance medley in anticipation of a vibrant and jam-packed October.
Returning to the “It’s Showtime” stage this week were acts True Colors, Next Level Octomix, Savannah Kids, Super Crew, D’ Bomb, and Astig Pinoy as part of the celebration’s Throwback Thursday and Flashback Friday segments, which will feature more grand finalists and champions from the program’s various seasons.
“It’s Showtime” will also hold the second monthly finals of its segment PinaSikat on Saturday (Oct 4) and will present the 58 grand finalists for its “Gandang Lalake” tilt who will fight for the grand title in the middle of October.
Exciting surprises await viewers every day of the month leading to the much-anticipated Magpasikat Week, the hosts’ annual week-long talent showdown.
