To join the cast of It’s Showtime in celebrating its sixth anniversary, ABS-CBN’s brighest stars flocked Araneta Coliseum for #ShowtimeKapamilyaDay.
Kapamilya Royal loveteams KathNiel, LizQuen and JaDine‘s presence in one stage astonished the jump-packed audience and the loyal fans who kept on raving for their respective idols. (also see Showtime Kapamilya Day vs EB’s National Pabebe Wave: Who will win the ratings game?)
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla sang “Pangako Sayo” while James Reid and Nadine Lustre serenated the audience with the song “On the wings of love”. Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil performed the themesong of their hit teleserye “Forevermore.”
Other loveteams such as KimXi (Kim Chiu and Xian Lim), VhongAnn (Vhong Navarro and Anne Curtis) and ViceRylle (Vice Ganda and Karylle) also brought “Kilig” to the crowd.
Lipswak segment were graced by the cast of Pasion de Amor and Nasaan ka ng Kailangan Kita where the latter team won the judges vote.
In its Clash of Celebrities segment, Gimmie 5’s Menudo inspired performance beat Pinoy Big Brother 737 Teen Big Four’s Abba inspired song and dance number.
Ang Probinsyano star Coco Martina also surprised the crowd as he appeared during “Nasaan ka Mr.Pastillas” segment when he serenaded Pastillas Girl Angelica Yap and acted as one of his suitors.
#ShowtimeKapamilyaDay generated over 7 million tweets within 24 hours. The show in Araneta is considered the kickoff to the sixth anniversary of the noontime show and start of its “Magpasikat” segment where hosts will outperform each other.
